Description |
Number 555020 is a C-32P class caboose built in 1976 by the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio for the Norfolk and Western Railway (N&W). It was used exclusively for the railway's Canadian operations in Southern Ontario and was a frequent visitor to St. Thomas. The white stripes on the cupola designated it for Canadian operation. In 1990 Norfolk & Western merged with the Southern Railway to form Norfolk Southern, but 555020 remained in its N&W livery until its retirement in 1998. Norfolk Sourthern donated the caboose that same year to the ECRM. |
